Présentation par Eurostat et l’Epec du Guide du traitement statistique des PPPs le 9 décembre 2016 à Bruxelles
Le 29 septembre dernier paraissait le Guide to the statistical treatment of PPPs, élaboré conjointement par Eurostat et l’Epec. Le 9 décembre prochain, la Banque Nationale de Belgique, le Vlaams Kenniscentrum PPS et la Cellule d’Informations Financières organisent un après-midi d’information au cours duquel les auteurs du Guide auront l’occasion d’en présenter le contenu et de répondre aux questions qu’il suscite.
Ce workshop dont le programme détaillé est présenté ci-dessous, est destiné aux praticiens publics et privés impliqués dans des PPP, usagers avérés ou potentiels de ce Guide. Vous y êtes bien entendu convié, les modalités d’inscriptions étant détaillées ci-dessous et sont accessibles ici.

Explaining the new EPEC and Eurostat guide to the statistical treatment of PPPs.
In its capacity as partner of the National Accounts Institute, the National Bank of Belgium has the pleasure of inviting you to a workshop on public-private partnerships (PPPs), in collaboration with the Vlaams Kenniscentrum PPS and the Cellule d’Information Financières.
If applied correctly, PPPs combine the strengths of the private and the public partner and can be an efficient way of constructing public infrastructure like motorways, schools, sporting facilities, etc. Clarity on the statistical treatment of PPPs is of the utmost importance for Belgian governments as this treatment determines when the budget deficit is affected, which can either be during the period of investment itself or spread out over the whole duration of the contract.
On 29 September, Eurostat and the European PPP Expertise Centre (EPEC) published a new guide to the statistical treatment of PPPs. This workshop, open to all practitioners in the field on the public or private side or other interested parties, offers a unique opportunity to exchange views with officials from the two institutions that compiled the new guide to the statistical treatment of PPPs.
